FIELDTURF AT TEMPE RESERVE: A WIN FOR THE COMMUNITY

We are pleased to announce the completion of a new FIFA and World Rugby certified multisport field, along with cricket wickets using FieldTurf systems at  :

Tempe Recreation Reserve, Inner West Council, NSW.

Tempe Recreation Reserve synthetic surfaces have been installed by our partner Turf One, and are part of the first stage of the upgrade that includes:

• a new synthetic multi-purpose sports field using 
• five turf fields with new irrigation stormwater drainage and harvesting
• flood lighting upgrade
• four new cricket nets and two upgraded wickets
• new pathways and tree planting

As mentioned in the latest Inner West Council press release, Inner West Mayor, Darcy Byrne said,

“This upgrade will be of massive benefit to local sports clubs as it will result in the increased use of Tempe Reserve by multiple sport including football, cricket, rugby league and ultimate frisbee. Local clubs Marrickville Red Devils and Marrickville Cricket have new home grounds for their girls and women’s team.

FIELDTURF SYSTEMS INSTALLED AT TEMPE RECREATION RESERVE

Using FieldTurf 360XL with Purefill cork infill, Tempe Recreation Reserve multi-sports synthetic surface is a state of art playing surface successfully achieving both FIFA Quality and World Rugby certifications.

The use of FieldTurf PureFill infill offers a long list of benefits for athletes and field owners at Tempe Reserve : on top of being sustainable and recyclable, the cork infill is giving the installed system resiliency, shock absorption, heat reduction, and U.V. resistance, which are much needed qualities under Australia’s harsh climate.

The cricket wicket were also renewed using FieldTurf Super Shield, a high quality and proudly Australian Made artificial grass especially designed for cricket.
